Polyester Yarn has become one of the preferred materials for modern textiles due to its durability, wrinkle resistance and easy care properties. Whether it is clothing, household goods or industrial fabrics, Polyester Yarn has a wide range of applications. However, in order to extend its life and maintain its beauty, proper care and maintenance are essential.
1. Gentle washing and avoid high temperatures
Polyester Yarn fabrics can usually be machine washed, but it is recommended to use cold or warm water (no more than 30°C) and mild detergents. High temperatures may cause the fibers to deform or shrink, affecting the shape and texture of the fabric. At the same time, avoid using detergents containing bleach or strong alkaline, as these chemicals may destroy the fiber structure and cause the fabric to fade or damage.
2. Gentle dehydration to reduce friction
During the washing process, it is recommended to choose the gentle mode to reduce friction between fabrics. High-speed dehydration or strong agitation may cause fabric pilling or surface wear. If hand washing, gently squeeze rather than wring to protect the integrity of the fiber.
3. Tumble dry at low temperature or air dry
Polyester Yarn fabrics are not suitable for high-temperature drying, as high temperatures may cause the fibers to melt or deform. It is recommended to choose the low-temperature drying mode, or lay the fabric flat in a ventilated place to dry naturally. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, as long-term UV exposure may cause the fabric to fade or become brittle.
4. Iron at low temperature and avoid direct contact
If ironing is required, set the iron to low temperature mode (usually polyester fiber mode) and cover the fabric with a thin cloth to avoid direct contact between the iron and the fabric surface. High-temperature ironing may cause the fibers to melt or leave permanent marks.
5. Proper storage to prevent moisture and pests
When storing Polyester Yarn fabrics, ensure that the environment is dry and ventilated to avoid moisture that may cause mold growth. You can use dust bags or storage boxes to protect the fabric, and place insect repellent to prevent pests. Avoid putting heavy objects on the fabric to avoid permanent creases.
6. Regular inspection and timely repair
Regularly inspect the fabric for problems such as wear, pilling, or loose threads. For small-scale damage, you can use fabric repair tools to repair it in time to prevent the problem from expanding. For pilling, you can use a professional pilling remover or shaver to deal with it.
